BPA Worldwide Membership: It's Easy to Get Started Step 1: Send in the Membership Application and Fees Step 2: Promote Your Application for Membership You do not have to wait for your initial audit to be completed to enjoy the benefits of BPA membership! Once we have received your application and fees, we help you promote your BPA connection. Here's how: News Release As a free service, we create a news release on BPA letterhead promoting your application. Just provide us with your logo and a brief quote about why you have applied for membership. "BPA Worldwide Membership applied for (month/year)" This wording may be used on your masthead and throughout your media kit. Step 3: Meet with BPA Worldwide's Member Relations Manager When you apply for membership, a Member Relations Manager is assigned to your account. The manager will contact you to arrange a time to meet with you to review your circulation records and go over the audit process with you. We encourage you to utilize this free service. Step 4: The Initial Audit When you apply for membership, you have 12 months to complete your initial audit. You may choose any consecutive 3- or 6-month period within the 12 months to conduct the audit. During the audit, the BPA auditor will: Verify distribution by checking postal or shipping receipts; Verify printing of the issues from printer receipts; Check a random sample of recipient qualification sources and their source codes, or, in the case of multiple copies to the same addressee, the distribution agreements. Once the media owner's records have been verified and the audit tests completed, the initial audit report will be printed.
