The Week Becomes First Independently Audited Title in Oman
The Week, by applying for membership in BPA Worldwide, has become the first Oman-based publication to apply for an independent circulation audit.
Published each Wednesday by Apex Press and Publishing, The Week was the first free and independent compact weekly to be launched in the region in March 2003. The Week covers local news and issues, people and opinions, business, entertainment. travel and sports.
“While we have always chosen to be transparent, I believe that in the current media scene, transparency is a necessity,” said publisher S. Saleh Zakwani. “As the number of the publications increase in the market, it becomes doubly important for advertisers to know whether they are getting good value for their advertising investments. We, as publishers, owe it to our clients to provide them with an independent media audit in support of our circulation claims. We are proud to be the ones to show the way.”
"We are pleased that The Week has applied for membership in BPA Worldwide,” said BPA president and CEO Glenn Hansen. “We applaud publishers in this region for providing their advertisers and prospects with the solid assurance of an independent circulation audit conducted according to BPA’s world-respected, uncompromising standards.”
