BPA's Web Site Wins Web Marketing Association "Standard of Excellence" Award
BPA Worldwide's newly redesigned, reformatted and re-engineered Web site, bpaww.com, has won a "Standard of Excellence" award from the Web Marketing Association (WMA).
The WMA's annual WebAwards Competition recognizes the best in corporate Web site development in 80 industry categories. The awards, which are judged by a large panel of Internet professionals from corporations and leading Web agencies and site development organizations, attracted more than 1,300 entries this year. "Standard of Excellence" Awards are given in recognition of outstanding functionality, technology, design and content.
BPA Worldwide's powerful new, database-driven Web site, which went live on June 1 of this year, maintains a library of more than 76,000 circulation documents stored in Word, Excel and PDF formats, and has a registered user database of more than 30,000 individuals.
Custom-crafted tools within the site track statement usage, so that publishers can monitor who is viewing their circulation data. Additional tools give both members and site users instant, user-friendly access to top-line data/analysis/charting of current and historical BPA statement data; BPA rules and bylaws; and a large number of resources ranging from information about BPA's diversified worldwide products and services to a sophisticated search capability of all major publishing/advertising industry Web sites.
"We're pleased and honored to receive this prestigious recognition for our new site from the WMA," said Glenn Hansen, president and CEO of BPA Worldwide. "We thank the WMA, and the partners who were so instrumental in helping BPA to create a site that fulfills a host of complex needs for our members and other site users in a user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing way."
Stein Rogan + Partners (New York City) created the look of BPA's new site. GCN Publishing (Port Washington, NY) developed the site's tools and technology, and performs ongoing maintenance for the site.
