Brenda McKenna

Brenda McKenna

Brenda McKenna has worked in the advertising business for over 20 years.  She started her career at a New York advertising agency Lord, Geller, Federico, Einstein where she developed media programs for a diverse group of business-to-business and consumer accounts including Fuji, New York Stock Exchange, Sony, and Charles of the Ritz.  She also created media plans for Hennessy V.S.O.P. and X.O. product lines targeting international markets. 

Prior to joining Marquardt & Roche and Partners, Brenda was a media manager for Grolier Enterprises in Danbury, CT, where she organized an in-house media department to promote Children's Book Clubs for Dr. Seuss and Disney.  

Her longest stint has been at MRP in Stamford, CT, where she holds the position of V.P. Media Director.  She is responsible for media planning and buying for clients such as FUJIFILM Medical Systems, Leviton Manufacturing Company, SCHOTT North America, Copper Development Association, Procter & Gamble, and Crowley Maritime.   

She lives in New Canaan, CT, with her husband and two children.

 

Sharee Johnson

Sheree Johnson

Sheree Johnson is noted as one of the top media executives in the country, especially in terms of B to B media planning.  In 1995, Advertising Age and BtoB Magazine selected her as one of the top business-to-business media strategists in the country based on her innovative ways to analyze media and predict audience delivery.  In 1998, she was selected again for this honor, and was recognized with the publication’s Veteran Award for consistent, stellar performance as a media professional; and she was recognized with the honor again in 2003.  Most recently, the Outdoor Advertising Association awarded Sheree and her team the National Gold Award (2006) for their innovative media planning efforts.

Sheree is a founding board member of the Business Marketing Association (BMA) of Kansas City and served on the BMA International Board of Directors for over 10 years.    She served BMA in its highest leadership role as its International Chairman for 2001-2002.  She currently serves as a national committee member for the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) on their Media and Marketing Advisory Service Group/the Business-to-Business Media Committee and chaired the committee from 1993-1995.  During this time, she co-authored the AAAAs Guide to Business-to-Business Media Planning.   She is a certified business communicator (CBC) and also serves on BPA Worldwide's Media Manager's advisory committee.

She is a member of the Executive Committee and Strategic Review Board at Nicholson Kovac (formerly NKH&W), headquartered in Kansas City.  Top Nicholson Kovac clients include EMBARQ Corporation (formerly Sprint Local Telecommunications Division), FMC Corporation, O-I (formerly Owens-Illinois), Wellmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield, 3M Medical, Norgren and Hach.  As one of the senior officers of Nicholson Kovac, Sheree has worked to build a nationally recognized, well-respected top 100 integrated marketing communications agency with approximately $100 million in annual billings.  Nicholson Kovac is consistently recognized by BtoB Magazine as one of the top business-to-business agencies in the country.

She has a BS in Journalism (emphasis Advertising/Magazines, 1976) from the University of Kansas and did post-graduate work at Loyola University in Chicago.  Prior to NK, Sheree was with Cunningham & Walsh and McCann-Erickson, both in Chicago.
