Here’s why:
BPA is the auditor known and trusted by advertisers and media buyers throughout the world. BPA’s unsurpassed stringency, industry-leading commitment to full reporting disclosure, and integrity have stood the test for over 70 years. In an environment of increased media scrutiny, this record means more than ever to savvy media buyers and advertisers. That’s why media buyers in more than 25 countries count on BPA circulation audits for trusted, third-party verification that they are getting what they are paying for. No other audit bureau can make this statement.
BPA gets audited data out into the marketplace faster. Today, advertisers and media buyers don’t want to wait a year or more for audited data. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How are BPA audits conducted?
After submitting a membership application and fees, a newspaper has up to 12 months to work with BPA to complete its initial audit.
Once the initial audit is passed, the newspaper files circulation claims twice per year. BPA audits these claims, on an issue-by-issue basis, once per year. The newspaper supplies press run and paper usage reports, shipping and distribution receipts, newsstand reports and ledgers for each issue, an electronic version of the circulation file, and other pre-specified documentation.
In most countries, BPA auditors analyze the data on site at the member's company.
